Course Description

This one hour online training will present an in-depth look at Scopus. With coverage of over 15,000 publications, it is by far the largest abstract and citation database of research literature provided to state employees by the State Library. Perhaps its strongest feature, Scopus’ citation tracing, seamlessly directs users to related articles. The content of Scopus will be of particular interest to state employees involved in scientific and technical fields including medicine, environmental sciences, agriculture, biosciences, engineering, and computer technology as well as the social sciences.

The training will include discussion of:

  • Content
  • Formats
  • Techniques for effective searching
  • Tracing citations
  • Acquiring full-text
  • Setting up personal accounts
  • Email alerts

KDLA offers these courses free to Kentucky State Employees.

Certificates of Training will be emailed to you following the session.

Delivery Method:

These hour long classes will be conducted online with web conferencing technology. Class participants will need access to the Internet and a telephone.
