State Library Services Databases
The following online research databases are provided by the State Library for use by Kentucky State Government employees.
Desktop access to licensed databases (in italics) is provided free of charge, exclusively to State Government employees. All databases are accessible to the general public at the State Library.
When you select a password protected databases below you will be prompted for your last name and State Library card barcode number (ex. smith 987654321098). Call the State Library Circulation Desk 564-8300, ext. 337 or toll-free 800-928-7000, ext. 337 for assistance.

DARTS (NTIS/GPO Depository Access to Reports, Technical and Scientific)
DARTS provides access to approximately 240,000 documents dating from 1964 to 2000 on topics ranging from physics, environmental pollution and control, computers and information theory, materials science, and many more from the U.S. Department of Energy, National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), Defense Technical Information Center (DTIC), and NTIS (National Technical Information Service).

ERIC - Educational Resources Center Database

Homeland Security Digital Library
- Nation's premier repository of policy-related documents on homeland security
- Comprehensive collection of current and archived resources -- all in digital format -- from federal, state, and local agencies, leading national and international organizations, think tanks, universities and more
- Includes U.S. policy documents, key federal publications, state and municipal documents, links to important sites, professional journal articles, multimedia materials, theses, gray literature, Homeland Security-related news, a list of upcoming Homeland Security-related conferences and events, and links to key agencies and organizations.

- The HTDI Index, according to their website, is a guide to locating magazine articles that contain how-to information, instructions, plan, suggestions and tips on how to solve and prevent problems, construct projects, pursue an art, craft, hobby, etc.
