Course Description

Web site accessibility: allowing any user to visit, understand, and interact with your web site. If you manage a web site, then you understand how difficult this can be. Is a text-only web site really the only way to ensure accessibility? No. As a matter of fact, some text-only web sites are still inaccessible.

In this live online course taught in two hour segments over four consecutive days, we’ll delve into the details of HTML and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) to figure out what we can do to make our existing web sites more accessible. Specifically, we will discuss the characteristics your users may have that make it difficult to use the web, documents that can provide guidance, and mark-up used for text, navigation, and images.

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

  • Make text accessible
  • Make navigation accessible
  • Make images accessible
