Kentucky Summer Reading Program 2004 - Resources for Librarians

A World of Readers is Kentucky Department for Libraries and Archives’ 2004 statewide summer reading theme. Public libraries will be celebrating the richness of various cultural heritages represented in their communities and around the world. Exciting book-based programs featuring traditions of many nationalities and ethnic groups will encourage young readers to maintain their reading skills while on vacation. This theme will include a separate teen focus called Read the World. The entire program will reinforce the fact that reading helps everyone understand their world and the ties common to all who love books.
